What is FlocTalk?

FlocTalk Alberta is an online hub for anyone interested in livestock manure management through solid-liquid separation. It was created by a group of research chemists at the University of Calgary who are interested in providing real solutions to real issues faced by Agricultural Operators in Alberta. This website was designed to provide complete and accessible information about the coagulation and flocculation, from both scientific and practical points of view. Our second aim is to create a collaborative network around wastewater management including farmers, ranchers, scientists and policy makers who are invested in maintaining and building a sustainable future for Agriculture Alberta.

Let's Talk Floc!

We honor the Indigenous peoples who have cared for the lands of Alberta since time immemorial, including those from Treaties 6, 7, and 8, and the historical Northwest Métis Homeland. We acknowledge the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit who have lived here for generations, expressing gratitude to the Knowledge Keepers and Elders, both present and past. This acknowledgment is a gesture of reconciliation and respect for their territory.
